A new study just proved what CBS sitcoms have been teaching us for decades.
Researchers at University College London found that a LAUGH TRACK really does make bad jokes seem funnier.
For the study, they had people listen to different “dad jokes” . . . some heard the jokes followed by a laugh track, some heard the jokes without one. Here are a few examples of the jokes . . .
1. What state has the smallest drinks? Mini-soda.
2. What does a dinosaur use to pay bills? Tyrannosaurus checks.
3. What’s orange and sounds like a parrot? A carrot. (Am I crazy or is that kind of a decent joke?)
And the researchers found that people found the jokes funnier when they had a laugh track.
