A man from Pensacola, veteran Michael Esmond, just paid off the “past due” utility bills for 36 random families, just to help out during the holidays. Back in the ’80s, he had trouble paying his own bills and went a whole winter with no heat. So that’s why he did it.
The season of giving is here. Michael Esmond paid off 36 families’ utility bills. He found out who was at risk of having their power turned off. He spent $4,600 making their holidays a little less stressful.
